Captain Action, Undersea Agent, Hawk and Dove, His Name is Savage, Blackmark, Raven...all came out during this period. Can anyone pinpoint the moment when his art changed from a relatively stately gracefulness to this high-octane emotional melodrama that was so captivating? I know at some point, he decided to ink his own work, and that may have had something to do with it?
