But The Avengers one has to be my favorite of the lot, and I think it would make an excellent poster!

Why did Kirby refuse to do the pencils for any of his co-creations I wonder? Was he just burnt out on them?
Rustyhttp://www.comic-prospector.com/noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7897120082101927069.post-51945315453911035092012-12-28T17:39:13.282-05:002012-12-28T17:39:13.282-05:00I'm right with you on the Kirby Vision. It would have been interesting to see Kirby follow through on the Avengers #158 cover and draw the entire Vision/Wonder Man fight, just out of curiosity. His Vision reminds me a lot of Barry Smith's work on the character in #s 66-67.Comicsfanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10064955427593820783noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7897120082101927069.post-58184850221800649152012-12-28T16:23:56.820-05:002012-12-28T16:23:56.820-05:00The Black Panther figure looks redrawn as well. You do wonder why they even bothered asking him as there seems to be a lot of work done to 'correct' his work.
Kirby's version of the Vision is always hysterical - really blocky and stiff, and a character I don't think he ever drew previously.Dandy Forsdykehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03625590371965127469noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7897120082101927069.post-84517838434412324122012-12-28T09:46:17.772-05:002012-12-28T09:46:17.772-05:00Where did Kirby find the time to illustrate so man...Where did Kirby find the time to illustrate so many covers and produce 2001,the Eternals,Devil Dinosaur, Bl. The Thor cover is also nice, but ol' Goldilock's figure looks like it's been retouched - possibly by Gil Kane, on the evidence of Thor's right hand.Kidhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07224781868125924337noreply@blogger.com
