It's no wonder these Giant-Size editions go for so much money these days. The seventies were a great time to be a comic reader.Rich Gignacnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7897120082101927069.post-15049517757243439292012-09-28T09:07:22.472-04:002012-09-28T09:07:22.472-04:00Bronze age Marvel aways had a most excellent vibe ...Bronze age Marvel aways had a most excellent vibe going on, and these splashes certainly prove it. I really miss those days, and Dave Cockrum was a personal favorite of mine. "The King" also hit a nice groove with the stuff he created after rebounding to the House of Ideas. His "Madbomb" storyline in Captain America might have gotten most of the attention back in the day, but his work on Black Panther, The Eternals, 2001: A Space Odyssey, Machine Man, and even Devil Dinosaur were tons of fun.Chuck Wellshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04529750105224374839noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7897120082101927069.post-46110315307325009042012-09-28T06:43:54.176-04:002012-09-28T06:43:54.176-04:00All I can say those mags want me to go back to the...All I can say those mags want me to go back to the 70's!! My Golden Age!! Marvel just had a army of top talent in their bullpen. All they need at that point was Kirby back! Then he did come back!I remember buying most of these mags like it was yesterday! Especially GS X-Men #1 & the Defenders! I truly became a Dave Cockrum junkie that summer! Mike Mikulovskyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13426364090992151914noreply@blogger.com
