I know it was a last ditch effort to save Dr. Strange's failing title by making him more super-heroic, but I preferred his masked look to the unmasked one. A shame that when he was brought back in Marvel Feature # 1 they reverted him back to his old look. Btw, I consider Dr. Strange # 183 one of the high points of the Bronze Age.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01899974047130127563noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7897120082101927069.post-41132442757549753012010-10-27T11:02:25.929-04:002010-10-27T11:02:25.929-04:00Groove:

Still haven't read much ToD, but have liked what I've read quite a bit. Hope to find to devour my Essential ToD volumes someday.

Cheers,
Andrew
ComicsBronzeAge.comAndrew Wahlhttp://ComicsBronzeAge.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7897120082101927069.post-17141253183806801402010-10-25T15:18:44.111-04:002010-10-25T15:18:44.111-04:00I'm sure I'm probably in the minority here...I'm sure I'm probably in the minority here, but I'm crazy about Colan's design for the "masked" Doctor. Haven't quite read that far into Dr. Strange, but I did get a little bit of the mask in the early Defenders. I just think the mask gives the character a bit of a sinister edge. I proudly own a copy of #183 up there.Joplin Johnhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07675384207971550626noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7897120082101927069.post-42045590865597241192010-10-25T07:44:38.847-04:002010-10-25T07:44:38.847-04:00Gene "The dean" Colan & Tom Palmer w...Gene "The dean" Colan & Tom Palmer were the dynamic duo on Drac & Doc Strange. I was so depressed when the monster wave ended at Marvel! I could hear myself saying whatever happened to my Translyvania fix?!

Thanks for sharing these gems with us. As usual they always bring back great childhood & teenage memories for me. Atleast comic book wise! I just wish I still owned my once huge comic collection. So happy I still own my complete run of Marvel's Monster's Unleashed atleast. I really miss the 70's bronze age. Especially all those great creative talents & mags!Mike Mikulovskyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13426364090992151914noreply@blogger.com
