Making a Splash: Ghost Rider--the First 13
What it is, Groove-ophiles! How about a look back at the stunning splashes from the first thirteen issues of The Most Supernatural Hero of All? Ghost Rider issues 1-13 featured art by gifted graphite gurus like Tom Sutton, Jim Mooney, Sal Buscema, Frank Robbins, and George Tuska (plus a reprinted splash by co-creator Mike Ploog) inked by an army of adroit ink artists! Check 'em out!

Making a Splash: When the Captain Was a Ms. (Marvel, That Is!)
Dig it, Groove-ophiles! The trailer for the new Ms. Captain Marvel flick just dropped, so Ol' Groove thought it might be a good time to look back at the original, Groovy Age series in all its red-and-blue glory! With art by (mostly) Jim Mooney and Joe Sinnott, along with pencilers like the Brothers Buscema, Keith Pollard, Carmine Infantino and inkers Frank Giacoia, Sam Grainger, Tom Palmer, Bob McLeod, Steve Leialoha, Tony DeZuniga, Frank Springer, and Ric Villamonte, these sensational splashes are sure to please!

Making a Splash: Walt Simonson's Groovy Age Batman
What it is, Groove-ophiles! Let's end this week on a high note: digging on the sensational Batman splashes penciled by wondrous Walt Simonson for Batman and Detective Comics! Mr. Simonson didn't do nearly enough Batman stories to suit moi (a fact Ol' Groove has rapped about in the past), but those he did were Classics with a capital "C"! The Batman/Manhunter "meeting" in Detective Comics #443...the 450th and 500th anniversary issues of Detective Comics...the first two Steve Englehart era Batman stories in Detective #s 469 and 470 (inked by Al Milgrom)...the 300th issue of Batman...and just a couple extra-cool tales written by Len Wein and inked by Dick Giordano (Batman issues 312 and 321 featuring Calendar Man and the Joker). Masterpieces all, as you'll be able to tell by the glory of the following splash pages...

Making a Splash: August 1979
Why not hit the waybak machine and truck on back to August 1979 (I know, I know, it's September now, but what the hey), Groove-ophiles! We'll peel back the covers of every mag Teen Groove bought that month, then go gaga over the sensational splashes sequestered snugly beneath them! Splashes by some of the finest comicbook artists of the Groovy Age! Did we have any idea of how good we had it back then?
