Groove's Faves: E-Man Faces "The City Swallower"

Y'know, Groove-ophiles, it's hard to beat Nick Cuti and Joe Staton's E-Man for sheer fun and inventiveness. Take issue #5's (August 1974) "The City Swallower", for example. Slapstick, pretty girls, other dimensions under the sea, big ol' ugly monsters, futuristic cities, a bit of social commentary, some light romance, and an homage to Pinocchio all in one story. Man, a quarter could buy a lot of enjoyment back in the Groovy Age, huh? Dig it!
