Black and White Wednesday: Alex Nino Original DC Art

The fellas from the Philippines could draw comics, Groove-ophiles! So many fine illustrators (like yesterday's Nestor Redondo, to name one) that blew us away during the Groovy Age, especially at DC. Ol' Groove's fave was (c'mon, let's say it together)...Alex Nino. Here are some a-freakin'-mazing splash pages from a variety of DC mags...

Oh, man! Tell your eyes they're welcome!

  1. Such a variety of approaches to different genres, yet completely distinctive and recognizable... always a pleasure to find you posting something by the mighty Alex Nino, Mr.Groove.
My eyes are suitably grateful. Hope you're feeling better than yesterday (despite the short intro...)

  2. Hey,
Captain fear and others posted are available in B/W or they were converted from color? I tried converting them to B/W from color but it's not that good. Dark colored parts are too dark. If you converted, you have done an amazing job. Is it possible to share other pages in B/W? It will be awesome. I have them all in color.

    1. The b&w pages above are scans of the original art found online. The color stories are scans from the printed comics. I didn't work on the art at all, honestly, I just gathered the scans together here for us to enjoy. :D
