Marvel-ous Monday: "Waiting for the End of the World!" by Grant and Trimpe

Greetings, Groove-ophiles! Here it is! The controversial finale to Omega the Unknown in Defenders #77 (August 1979)! Steven Grant (with plot assist by Mark Gruenwald) and Herb Trimpe (with inkers Al Milgrom, Steve Mitchell, and Chic Stone) present..."Waiting for the End of the World!"

  4. Defenders seemed to go downhill after issue 55. My interest in the title never returned. Steve Gerber left such an indelible stamp on our non-team that everything after was a pallid imitation (although 41 - 55 were still pretty good thanks to the great art teams on the book).
