Bring On the Back-Ups: The Fabulous World of Krypton by Cary Bates and Gray Morrow

Greetings, Groove-ophiles! Ol' Groove has had another brain-drizzle for a new semi-series! Back-up stories (fillers, extras, whatever you wanna call 'em) always seem to get blown off and forgotten, so I thought I'd dig up a few from time to time, just to remind us about what we've ignored or forgotten. "The Fabulous World of Krypton" which DC ran in the back pages of Superman back in the Groovy Age is an excellent example of which I rap. These little gems gave us insights into what Superman's home world was like before it blew up real good, which, to me, is a pretty cool sci-fi concept. Let's start up with a fave: "A Name is Born" by Cary Bates and Gray Morrow, from Superman #238 (March 1971). Enjoy!
