Welcome back to part two of Marvel Comics' adaptation of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's The Hound of the Baskervilles, Groove-ophiles! This comic comes from Marvel Preview #6 (Spring 1976), and it's a doozy! Written by Doug Moench with art by Val Mayerik and Tony DeZuniga...well, let's just say its more lively than an issue of Classics Illustrated!
I always loved this story, but never knew it had a comic version done of it. Very cool
ReplyDeleteI was actually reading the novel for a book report (7the grade) when this came out. It's always been a fave. (And nope, I didn't use the comicbook version to cheat on the book report. I read Archie Goodwin's editorials...)
ReplyDeleteThis was my introduction to Sherlock Holmes (specifically this issue, #2), and I haven't seen this since my original copy fell to tatters. Awesome to see it again!
