Black and White Wednesday: "The Reaper" by Archie Goodwin and Alex Toth
From Creepy #114 (cover dated January 1980), here are two masters, Archie Goodwin and Alex Toth, at the top of their game. What more can Ol' Groove say but... "Read it!"
WOW! i have an issue of creepy, or eerie, (not sure which) that reprints a bunch of toth's warren stories, but this one isn't in it. HOLY CRAP that is awesome drawing. toth at the top of his game. thanks for posting.
I've always had a hard time with Toth's storytelling style, but it is very effective in this type of tale. Somewhat poignant, too....given that Archie Goodwin himself passed away 18 years later of cancer....
