Black and White Wednesday: Red Sonja in "Wizards of the Black Sun"

Greetings, Groove-ophiles! Here's a little-seen black and white Red Sonja strip from Savage Sword of Conan #23 (cover-dated October 1977). This sensational story is written by the titanic team of Roy Thomas and Clara Noto. The art is provided for the man who defined the look of Red Sonja for the Groovy Age: far-out Frank Thorne! Enjoy!

  1. I've got this in the british SSoC and always assumed it was from a colour book. Love that 3-legged goat!

  3. Badass. I cut my Thorne teeth on a Red Sonja story and I was a fan for life. It was Fireside's book, The Superhero Women. That Red Sonja story knocked me for a loop.

Thanks for posting this story too!
