Ol' Groove's Request Line: The Forgotten Creeper

What's happening, Groove-ophiles? Got a request from an anonymous Groove-ophile who promised to be a life-long fan if I'd post the Creeper back-ups from Adventure Comics #'s 445-447 (February-June 1976). Well, dude, here ya go!

When most fans think of the Creeper, they think of Steve Ditko, and rightly they should. After all, Sturdy Steve did create Jack Ryder's weirdo alter-ego. Thing is, it seems that the Creeper spent more time in print as a guest-star in other superheros' mags (usually with Batman in 'Tec or B&B) than he did in his own strips. Nearly all of the Creeper's solo tales were illustrated by the reclusive Mr. Ditko, so when DC collected those stories into one hand-dandy trade paperback, they naturally included all of the Ditko tales, leaving the following three-parter, wonderfully written by Martin Pasko and illustrated by Ric Estrada and Joe Staton in limbo. Well, like our anonymous request-maker, Ol' Groove thinks that's jive, so here's a look at a piece of Creeper history that deserves to be remembered. It's wild! It's weird! It's FUN!
