What it is, Groove-ophiles! I dunno why I haven't done this sooner, but here comes yet another new department--"Amazed By Aparo"! Yep, from time to time, we're gonna swoon over the amazing artistry of the late, great Jim Aparo (1932-2005). To kick things off, here's an early Phantom tale from his Charlton days, "The River That Never Ends!" Jungle action abounds in this "Norm Dipluhm"-penned potboiler from The Phantom #36 (November 1969), so we get to see the Amazing Mr. Aparo at his best. Enjoy!
Best department yet! Great story and of course great art. Thanks for posting this gem.
ReplyDeleteYeah, I figured you'd dig this department, Mike! Glad to see I was right!
