Dy-No-Mite Duos Week! Bring on the Back-Ups: Green Arrow and Black Canary by Maggin and Grell
Hey, hey, hey, Groove-ophiles! Did'ja realize that this coming Wednesday is the sensational second anniversary of Diversions of the Groovy Kind? Well, it is! And to celebrate two years, Ol' Groove is tossin' out some of his favorite Groovy Age team-ups all week long. Can you dig it? So welcome to Dy-No-Mite Duos week, baby!
To kick things off, here's quite possibly Ol' Groove's favorite Groovy Age dy-no-mite duo, Green Arrow and Black Canary! Whether it be in the pages of the JLA, teaming with Green Lantern, or bouncing around the back pages in Action Comics or World's Finest, there was always something special about the refreshingly real rapport between the Emerald Archer and Pretty Bird that made each of their adventures special. Take, for example, this titanic two-parter by Elliott S! Maggin and Mike Grell from Action Comics #'s 451-452 (June-July 1975)...
Two years already? Where has the time gone? Congratulations, Groove, and thanks for two years of fond memories and fine reading!
ReplyDeleteHoly Moley!
ReplyDeleteTwo years already! We'll sadly I wasn't here from the begining, but I was here I believe like 6-8 months after your first post. I just wish I could remember how I found your site, if someone told me or if I just googled it some how. I don't think anyone told me, because I'd remember & thank them!
I pass on your site to fans & Pros every chance I get! Congrads! I can't wait to see what's in store for the next year! Happy 2nd Anniversary! Now get back to work! LOL!
Was there a beginning to the story, or did it start in the middle?
