Greetings, Groove-ophiles! Amazing World of DC Comics #8 (cover dated September/October 1975) was devoted to DC's then-publisher, the recently deceased Carmine Infantino. Lots of Infantino art and a couple'a pretty far-out articles covering Infantino's work as co-creator, artist, editor, and publisher by fans-turned-pro like Bob Rozakis, Jack C. Harris, and Mike W. Barr make for some interesting reading. It also makes for a not-too-shabby second tribute to the man who ran the Line of DC Super-Stars!
Oh, I REALLY have to pick this up..!!
ReplyDeleteI just grabbed a VF copy of Flash 150, just a gorgeous Silver cover.. Still collecting the rest.
Thank you sir..!!
Thanks for this, Groove.
ReplyDeleteAny chance of your posting the All-Infantino Issue of DC Special? When I picked it up as a young lad, it was probably the first time I realized there were individual artists producing these comics, with individual styles that an amateur like myself could learn to identify. That single issue completely changed the way I read comics.
