Hey, hey, hey, Groove-ophiles! While we wait for our chance to behold the spectacle that will surely be Iron Man 3, why don't we dig on some cover-sightings of Ben Kingsley's evil alter-ego The Mandarin as he appeared throughout the Groovy Age?
Ghandi gone bad!!LOL Kingsley looks great except those Elvis/Nicholos Cage sun glasses! Groan! That & his rings don't look like cool mood rings with powers I guess.SIGH!
I hope to go see it tomorrow! Saw some drawings of the Melter too. Who I believe might wack Pepper Pots! I know he melts War Machine. Hence the new red, white & blue armor I guess. And the team up of Shellhead & Super Patriot!
The Mandarin of the comics has no relation to the Mandarin in Iron Man 3,. By the way, Iron Man 3 is absolutely horrible. Stark appears as Iron Man for about 2 minutes, the rest of the time it's Rhodey of remote controlled suits that burst apart at the drop of a hat.
Hey this ain't yer daddy's Mandarin! Seriously, it was not unexpected that the movie Mandarin would differ from the comics version. The only issue is how radical a departure from the original concept the movie version will be.

I think TOS #85 is by far the most exciting of these. It makes me wonder how Iron man got in that predicament and how will he get out, plus the composition is great.

I forget the Mandarin has faced other heroes besides Ironman. It was good seeing the mandarin go up against the Inhumans & Hulk !!

You're right about the Mandarin, but I dug this version--I also dug IM 3, so what do I know? ;D Thanx for commenting, Robby!
