The Boys from Derby: "Prisoner of Evil" by Gill and Sattler

Greetings, Groove-ophiles! I got me a yen for Yang! Let's plant our peepers on "Prisoner of Evil", Joe Gill and Warren Sattler's minor masterpiece from Charlton's Yang #3 (April 1974), okay?

  1. While not as authentic as Sanho Kim's work on House of Yang, Warren Sattler's artwork on Yang has a warm charm which entices the reader. His pages are by and large clear and easy to read though still filled with movement and some rich textures. Some of the shadow play in this one is especially keen.

    1. Rip, I never cease to be impressed by your knowledge of Charlton Comics. Did you ever read that Charlton magazine a few years back?

  2. Yang is one of those comics I never saw until searching bargain bins. It is a pretty good series. Who owns the rights now that Charlton is defunct? I would LOVE to see a collection of Yang.
