What a beautiful story Groove, really heart warming. I'd read of this in the recent Two-Morrows book on Swamp Men but I had no idea it was so good. A shame there weren't more in the series. Maroto proves himself to be amongst the best artists from that period to draw a swamp creature and who knew Al Milgrom was such a good writer, very nearly in the same league as Archie Goodwin and Bruce Jones.

You hit it out of the ballpark again Groove! Nice tale from Milgrom (!) and of course exquisite art from the master Esteban Maroto. More Creepy/Eerie/Vampirella tales please!

Just checked the Two Morrows Swampmen book by Jon B Cooke and apparently Marvin did make one more appearance in Eerie 129 (Feb 82) written by Bill Du Bay and illustrated by Rudy Nebres. Any chance of posting that up sometime Groove?
