Vampire Tales #2 (July 1973).
Vampire Tales? Why, she was a succubus, ya know--and a soul-eater is even creepier than a blood-sucker if ya ask moi!
Now, Ol' Groove could write a big ol' post about the creation of
Satana, but Marvel already did that way back in

Really enjoying the October fear-fest, Groove. Some very interesting, spooky stuff here lately.

Satana was a strong, good character. I read "Deathsong" as a kid and was greatly impressed. I don't know who the artists were (they signed as "The Tribe") but I liked it more than the Maroto version. Also, I still haven't understood who or WHAT actually was the villain, Dansker. But he was a scary, tough old bastard.
