Greetings, Groove-ophiles! It's been a while since we rapped about Man-Bat, so Ol' Groove's gonna make up some time! Today we're gonna check out "Target: The Shotgun Sniper!", the first of a two-part mini-saga by Bob Rozakis and (the main man of this post) Michael Golden! This was Golden's Man-Bat debut, by the by, which makes today's funky flashback even more special! Are you ready for a were-bat-wanted-for-murder, his pursuer Jason Bard, and his pregnant-but-plucky wife Francine? Oh, and some bad-guys, too? Then here it comes from Batman Family #15 (September 1977)!
Tune in tomorrow for part two!
Can't wait. That is one cliffhanger!
ReplyDeleteYes! Yes! Yes! Thank you, Mr Groove, for sharing!
ReplyDeleteThis is from my favorite period in Mr Golden's career.
"Demon and Manbat", Batman in "Houdini's whodunit..."
and other stories.
Cheers!

For a so-so title Batman Family was a cornucopia of great art: Golden, Russell, Starlin, Chaykin, Rogers, Rubinstein, Austin. I agree with Anonymous. This is also my favorite period in Mr. Golden's career.
