Random Reads: "A Twist In Time!" by Skeates and Pino

Hey, hey, hey, Groove-ophiles! Ready for a short shocker from Archie/Red Circle's Red Circle Sorcery #7 (April 1974)? "A Twist In Time" was written by Steve Skeates and illustrated by Carlos Pino--two of comics' most prolific producers of pulpy perfection! And dig that Gray Morrow cover! Whoooo!

  1. I do not know that I would consider Carlos Pino as one of "comics' most prolific producers," but what is REALLY important to me is the store-stamp at the bottom of page one for Armchair "Family" Books, a bookstore in Portland, Oregon that I do NOT remember as a "family" bookstore. My brother and I lived in Salem, Oregon in the 70s and would occasionally convince an older family member to drive us up to Portland to shop, since Salem was a dry town as far as comic book stores were concerned. Armchair was one of the places we would visit (as well as Serendipity and Apache and Excalibur Comics). Oy, the stories I could tell about our numerous visits to Armchair. Thanks for the reminder of better days.
