Groove's Faves: "World of Captive Humans" by Moench, Tuska, and Esposito

What it is, Groove-ophiles! Can you believe it's been nearly four years since we rapped about Marvel's adaptation of Planet of the Apes? Crazy, huh? Well, as you probably know, with Adventures on the Planet of the Apes, Marvel reprinted, in color, their movie adaptations that had originally run in their b&w POTA mag. Here's part two of that awesome adaptation courtesy Doug Moench, George Tuska, and Mike Esposito from AotPotA #2 (August 1975)!

  1. Awesome post Groove, back then I was a HUGE "Ape-o-phile" I still am when it comes to the Marvel mags and color comic. Thank you for a great post.

  2. More good art ruined by Mike Esposito's horrendous inks. If you'd like to see George Tuska inked well check out the early issues of Iron Man from the 60s. There the great EC master Johnny Craig applies his beautiful brush work to Mr. Tuska's pencils.
