Hey, hey, hey, Groove-ophiles! Ya know, one place where Charlton Comics doesn't get the respect it deserves when we rap about their covers. During the Groovy Age, The Boys from Derby absolutely killed with many of their covers--especially their mystery/horror covers...especially when we're talkin' 'bout The Many Ghosts of Dr. Graves! Ditko! Mastroserio! Aparo! Staton! Sutton! Byrne! Zeck! Larson! Boyette! Newton! Howard! Dig 'em, baby!

    I still think from time to time I'll fill in my Ghostly Tales and Dr. Graves runs. I have most issues but not all. Sigh.

    God, I loved this comic when I was a boy. I especially loved those where Dr. Graves was a participant in the action, himself. The only problem I had was that, to my young mind, "The Many Ghosts" didn't make much sense, and I always thought it meant something else... "The Man-ey Ghosts," perhaps? The Manly Ghosts? What was I missing...?

      Charlton must have believed that having ghost in the title improved sales. Look at how many of them incorporated it: Ghostly Tales, Ghost Manor, Ghostly Haunts, The Many Ghosts of Dr. Graves.
