Marvel-ous Mondays: "The Deadly Peril of Jane Clayton" by Burroughs, Thomas, J. Buscema, and Alcala

Greetings, Groove-ophiles! Here we are with the penultimate chapter of Marvel's adaptation of Edgar Rice Burroughs' Tarzan and the Jewels of Opar! "The Deadly Peril of Jane Clayton" from Tarzan #10 (December 1977) was adapted by writer Roy Thomas (of course!), penciler/layout artist John Buscema (natch!), and finisher Alfredo Alcala (ooooooh!). (And no, you're not seeing things, we skipped ish #9--it's not part of TatJoO adaptation, aaaaaaand, it's posted right'chere if ya don't believe me!)

Oh, and for those of you who wonder about such things: Ol' Groove really dug The Legend of Tarzan! Saw it on the 4th of July!

  1. I never really understood why, in all those comics adaptations and movies, Tarzan has no beard. He would be way more sexy and frankly, it would make better sense.
But that's ok, as long as he's wearing leopard string...
