Black and White Wednesday: "Short Circuits" by Michael Uslan

Check it out, Groove-ophiles! Since we're a bit past April Fool's Day and nearing Friday the 13th, how about a kooky parody of DC's own Direct Currents called "Short Circuits"? Written by writer/producer Michael Uslan, "Short Circuits", for moi, offers more chuckles than groans. T'was published in The Amazing World of DC Comics #13 (cover dated November, but the indicia says October 1976). And what the hey, why not enjoy Sergio Aragones' cover for that wacky ish?

  1. Nothing like 1976 comic-books like “due to deadline problems, here’s a reprint”

    1. The Dreaded Deadline Doom. Marvel's ready made excuse for giving us reprints and fill-ins instead of in continuity stories due to the slowness of writers and artists.

  2. This parody was hilarious. I didn't know the DC of this period was capable of laughing at themselves.
