Admiring Adams: 40 Years Ago This Month

40 years ago this month, the following comics with their far-out Neal Adams covers were being snatched up from the spinner racks...

And, yep, he even drew the interiors of the Brave and Bold and X-Men issues. No wonder we love the Groovy Age!!

  1. Amen. We're coming up on the 40th anniversary of Detective Comics #395 - first Adams/O'Neil collaboration on Batman - which would be a great story to post.

  2. Hey Groovy one!
man I am so happy I grew up in the 70's! I loved Neal's art, I just wish he had done much more at both DC & Marvel.I loved his work on the Avengers & x-Men too. As much as his great Spectre, Batman, Deadman, Superboy & Superman art & covers!! I can't wait to see his new Batman super giant mini-series Oydessey. Each issue is going to be like 80 pages of I believe a four- eight issue mini-series written by Frank Miller. I hope he does a Hal Jordan/GL/ Ollie/GA one as well.
