Black and White Wednesday: "Moonshift" by Steve Ditko

As far as I can tell, Groove-ophiles, the only time this Ditko-illoed sci-fi shocker saw print was in the ultra-rare second issue (Spring 1975) of Charlton Bullseye, Charlton Comics' official fan magazine (in the tradition of Marvel's FOOM and DC's Amazing World of DC Comics). Ol' Groove's gotta say, Ditko's art looks pretty far-out in b&w! What do you think of "Moonshift"?

  1. That's the only issue of Bullseye I haven't gotten yet. I really appreciate this peek inside.

    Thanks.

  2. Hey Groovy One!
Thanks for posting this, I never saw it before. But you gotta love Ditko! Ditko & Kirby, as well as a few others. Like Bill Everett, & a few others were the true architechs of the modern super heroe & comics.

Even though this story was pretty blah. Ditko really made it come alive & like Kirby. They both drawn you into their artwork. Making it powerful & feel 3-D!
