Ol' Groove's Request Line: Ruben Yandoc

What's happening, Groove-ophiles? The latest missive for the Request Line is in, and the call goes forth from Groove-ophile Gregory Whitfield for a sampling of sensational sketching Ruben Yandoc (aka Rubeny) style! Here's a far-out frightener from House of Mystery #255 (August 1977) written by the great Jack Oleck! You're gonna dig..."The Evil Half"!

  1. Blimey, that's a cracking tale there oh groovy one !

Much appreciated -- Yandoc AKA Rubeny is one of the under rated artists from the 'Phillipino set' that DC relied on in the 70's -- what I love about his work is the spiteful, tortured, sweating, avaricious, materialistic faces he depicted. Alcala and Nino were inclined towards an otherworldly, mournful and dreamlike psychedelia -- Rubeny was gritty and critical of the mean and greedy and the urban graspers.

    Thanks,

    So much appreciated.

    Gnostic the Englishman AKA Gregoire.
