    I remember this story when it first was published. One of my all-time favorites! Of course I was always a sucker for Betty anyway when I was a teenager in the 70s (still am, come to think of it).

    My memory may be playing tricks on me, but I think I remember reading this story as a kid. Of course, I didn't "collect" Archie comics--I'd just read 'em, and who knows what happened to them after that!
