What it is, Groove-ophiles! Today Ol' Groove is
ripping off taking a page from me mate Joe Bloke's (of
BIFF! fame) playbook. Yers trooly is gonna just plunk down a whole bunch of random images that I've
stolen collected from all over the interweb for your enjoyment! The tie that binds is that they're all Groovy Age Jim Steranko illos, whether they be covers, interior art, posters, sketches, or whatever. Enjoy!
Great stuff, you can't go wrong with Steranko.
ReplyDeleteOtherwise, I've seen most of it elsewhere on the webs, and - like you - I've, er, collected quite a few images myself over the years (in fact, I've almost filled up a 16 gb flash-drive with this kind of stuff).
You have performed a major service to Steranko fans and comic book fans everywhere by posting that correct, non-edited page from SHIELD #2. I know it's available all over the place, but someone else in your shoes might've just posted the edited, published version. - Jeff Clem
ReplyDeleteLove the Shadow!
ReplyDeleteI'm surprised you didn't include the "Waxworks" splash page (in glorious duoshade) and the two pages of pencils for "Dante's Inferno" (both stories featuring the Karstone - a Steranko anagram - character). These were both Marvel projects from 1969-70 that never saw print.
