Dig it, Groove-ophiles! Creepy #105 (December 1978) was one far-out mag! I've already laid some of the sensational stories from it 'pon ya, and here's another--a real, sci-fi fear-fable by Bill DuBay and John Severin! Are you ready for a..."Visit to a Primitive Planet"?
Fascinating.
ReplyDeleteI'm always so pleased to come across Severin's art--he and DuBay produced a very nice and clever "short story" here. :)
Outstanding.
ReplyDeleteI vaguely remember reading this. It was probably one of those B & W mags I read in the store. Due to lack of funds or the lady there. Refused to sell me any B & W mags. And I was a tall17 year old by then. LOL Boy have times have changed huh? All that matters now to stores is making $$$$. Creepy, sad & very Twilight Zone like! John Severin is so underated along with his sister Marie.
ReplyDeleteJohn Severin was the consumate storyteller, whether inking or doing full artwork as here. His Cracked stories were always delightful. While I lament his recent passing, he did live until his 90s and left us many decades of art to enjoy.
ReplyDeleteVery nice work. Has anyone ever translated the speech balloons?
