Hey, hey, hey, Groove-ophiles! We're back with part three of Bob Rozakis' Calculator back-up/mini-series, this time inker Terry Austin is joined by penciler Ernie Chan (then Chua). Aaaaand, this time, our villain meets The Elongated Man! From Detective Comics #465 (August 1976), are you inoculated for..."The Elongated Plague!"?

  1. I forget there was a story where Ernie Chan was inked by Terry Austin. What an interesting combination.

  3. If other Chan/Austin works exist, I don't think I ever saw them, but the result is just amazing. This Calculator series, besides launching Marshall Rogers on 'Tec, was a showcase of Austin working on the best Batman artists of the time: yes, this blog is great.
Furthermore, I think this is the final work by Chan on the Bat-titles, and a pretty unusual one, dealing with all these deformed characters, as Batman stories he had drawn were very grounded.
