Black and White Wednesday: "The Strange Incurable Hauntings of Terrible Phinaeus Boggs" by DuBay and Severin

HoooOOOw's it shakin', Groove-ophiles! Bill DuBay's contributions to Warren Magazines as both writer and editor (and sometimes artist) are pretty monumental, to say the least. Here's a classic written by the Dube with incredible art by John Severin from Creepy #83 (August 1976): "The Strange Incurable Hauntings of Terrible Phinaeus Boggs!"

  1. John Severin was amazing. He's so darn good and so consistent that it was easy to overlook the astounding craftsmanship he brought to every project. MAD got all the praise (deservedly often), but for my money it was CRACKED because of the omnipresent Severin presence.

  2. A Happy Haunted ending, what a nice twist.
Barbie the Vampire Girl, a little tweaking and it turns into Buffy the Vampire Slayer, did the creators of Buffy read this tale way back when?
