Hey, hey, hey, Groove-ophiles! We're back with the second chapter of the Calculator saga from Detective Comics #464 (July 1976)! "A Hot Time In Star City Tonight" was written by Bob Rozakis (aided and abetted by wife Laurie), illustrated by Mike Grell and Terry Austin, and features Black Canary as the hero out to bring our villainous back-up star to justice...
This would be Iron Mike Grell's last outing as penciler of the Calculator series. Who would come next? Stay tuned!

As for the rest of ya, the purpose of this blog is to (re)introduce you to the great comics of the 1970s. If you like what you see, do what I do--go to a comics shop, bookstore, e-Bay or whatever and BUY YOUR OWN!

Grell's Black Canary is my Canary. Gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteBy the way, saying to the greatest Ph.D. physicist in the DCU, who probably designed part of the transporter himself, to RTFM is just pure seventies fun!
