Greetings, Groove-ophiles! We're gonna kick this week off with Bill Mantlo and Sal Buscema's "Firefall!" from ROM, Spaceknight #3 (November 1979). Action, dire wraiths, and a new hero/villain wearing Spaceknight armor! Is it any wonder we loved ROM so much, Groove-ophiles? Especially when you consider Our Pal Sal's action-packed, emotional art! And dig that Frank Miller/Terry Austin cover!

The Grooviest Covers of All Time: Marvel Goes Giant-Size (Part One)
Ah, Groove-ophiles, can ya remember back in early 1974 to early 1975 when Mighty Marvel unleashed their 68 page, fifty cent Giant-Size line of quarterly comics? A bonus-length lead feature plus a classic Silver Age (or even Golden Age if we were lucky) tale, all square-bound and stapled under some of the best Gil Kane, John Romita, Frank Brunner, Rich Buckler, and many others' color-splashed covers... Here (in no particular order) are a few of Ol' Groove's faves from the pre-re-print Giant-Size era!

Shades of Gray: "Law of the 100!" by Kanigher and Morrow
Hey, hey, hey, Groove-ophiles! Dig this gorgeous Rose and Thorn art job by Gray Morrow! Written by creator Robert Kanigher, from Superman's Girlfriend Lois Lane #111 (May 1971), prepare yourself for the..."Law of the 100!"
