Bring On the Back-ups: "Operation: Rotten Apple" by Cuti and Sutton
Move over, James Bond! Step aside, Nick Fury! Back off, Maxwell Smart! Here comes Nick Cuti and Tom Sutton's The Knight in his one-and-only appearance from the back of E-Man #1 (August 1973). I think you're gonna dig Cuti and Sutton's irreverent take on the spying game, Groove-ophiles!
Told'ja!

As for the rest of ya, the purpose of this blog is to (re)introduce you to the great comics of the 1970s. If you like what you see, do what I do--go to a comics shop, bookstore, e-Bay or whatever and BUY YOUR OWN!

Thanks, Groove. The E-Man series is justifably famous and well regarded, but I always enjoyed the back-up features as well. (And if you ever wanna post the back-up from E-Man #3, please feel free to do so!)
ReplyDeleteCuti and Howard's Travis? Duly noted, Groove-ophile! Keep your eyes peeled--there's a strong chance of that swell strip showing up after Christmas!
