Tuesday Team-Up: "Burn, Namor...Burn!" by Thomas and Severin

Hey, hey, hey, Groove-ophiles! Today we're diggin' back into Sub-Mariner #14 (March 1969) in which Roy Thomas and Marie Severin team Subby and the Original Human Torch against the villainous Mad Thinker! Or do they...? It's a tale of action, history, paranoia, and sacrifice in the Mighty Marvel Manner!

Didn't ya just love those ca-razee cameos on page 13?

    1. Good catch, William! And is it just me, or does Esposito do a better job under his alias...?

    2. I agree, that's some smooth work over Severin.

  2. Poor Toro! IIRC, John Byrne hinted in Marvel Age that he would introduce Toro's daughter. That was in the late 80s when he was writing Avengers and Avengers West Coast.

  3. So, was that, in fact, the end of Toro? Or was he revived or resurrected later on?

    1. He was resurrected in 2009 . Avengers/Invaders series. Bucky. Cosmic Cube. You know the drill.
