The Grooviest Covers of All Time #2

Another of the grooviest comicbook covers of all time, Giant-Size Super-Stars #1 (and only!). There are plenty of great Thing vs. Hulk covers out there, but this one is different. For once--the Thing is winning! Or is he? Remind Ol' Groove to do an article on GSSS #1 sometime.

There's a lot more to this legendary issue than the fantabulous Rich Buckler/Joe Sinnott cover. But for now, it's enough. Ain't it a beaut?

  1. Great cover and even greater ish. I loved that red FF suit Torchy used to wear as a tip of the hat to the original Human Torch. And Thing vs. Hulk battles were always immediate classics. Jonathan Gilbert

  2. I agree 100%! I'll have to dig it out and reread it sometime soon so I can write about it.

As for the rest of ya, the purpose of this blog is to (re)introduce you to the great comics of the 1970s. If you like what you see, do what I do--go to a comics shop, bookstore, e-Bay or whatever and BUY YOUR OWN!
