Addicted to Alex Nino: "The Mercenary!" by Kanigher and Nino

Greetings, Groove-ophiles! Ol' Groove just noticed that it's been more than a month since our last Alex Nino fix! That's way too long, don'tcha think? To rectify that particular sitch, here's a far-out (and I mean that in every sense) sci-fi/war tale from (where else?) Weird War Tales #61 (December 1977--yep the same ish that brought us the awesome Roger McKenzie/Howard Chaykin tale posted here!). "The Mercenary!" was written by Robert Kanigher and features that wild and experimental Nino art we all love so well. And it's all here just for you, baby!

As for the rest of ya, the purpose of this blog is to (re)introduce you to the great comics of the 1970s. If you like what you see, do what I do--go to a comics shop, bookstore, e-Bay or whatever and BUY YOUR OWN!
