Grooviest Covers of All Time: Mike Ploog's Werewolf by Night

Thirteen cool and creepy Werewolf by Night covers by Monster Master Mike Ploog. What more could any Groove-ophile ask for?

  1. Ploog was the perfect artist for a book like Werewolf by Night. I loved seeing his art each month.

  2. So were great. I remember just diving for those covers when you saw them on the comic rack at the PX when I was a kid in the 70s.

  3. Mike Ploog ruled! Ghost Rider , Werewolf , Frankenstein and MAN-THING...anything he touched had a quality to it that was unmatched.

  4. God ... how I loved Werewolf when I was a kid. And Moon Knight! Many, many thanks -- this blog consistently makes my day.

As for the rest of ya, the purpose of this blog is to (re)introduce you to the great comics of the 1970s. If you like what you see, do what I do--go to a comics shop, bookstore, e-Bay or whatever and BUY YOUR OWN!
