As for the rest of ya, the purpose of this blog is to (re)introduce you to the great comics of the 1970s. If you like what you see, do what I do--go to a comics shop, bookstore, e-Bay or whatever and BUY YOUR OWN!

Sal has always been so under rated! My first memory of his awesomeness. Was either his great run with Roy THomas on the Sub-Mariner with inker Sam Grainger. Or a issue of the Hulk he drew or inked. People complained his style was rushed/sketchy years later. We'll DOH of course he was doing a Jack Kirby & a John Buscema amount of titles every month! Probably between 5-7 plus covers! Granted Sal didn't always have great inkers. But when he did or inked himself his art was equally as epic! Nuff Said!
ReplyDeleteHow did Cap ever survive a Porcupine that was "stronger than ever"?
ReplyDeleteWouldn it it be great to be able to pop out and snag these right now?
ReplyDeleteSaturday afternoons were made for reading comics!
And, just so you know, I'd save The Defenders for last - Cry Yandroth! indeed :)
