Metal Mondays: "The Dark God Cometh" by Pasko and Simonson

We're back with another Metal (Men) Monday, Groove-ophiles! This one really rocks! Our robotic heroes battle Eclipso, plus we get tons of cool backstory on our villain--all by the major talents of Martin Pasko and Walter Simonson! From Metal Men #49 (September 1976)..."The Dark God Cometh"!

This is Simonson's last ish as interior artist (he still has a few covers comin'), and does he ever cut loose! From here, comicdom would see an evolution in Simonson's work, as he pretty much focused on storytelling and layouts for the next couple of years. Who could fill his Chemo-sized shoes as artist? Find out next Metal Monday, baby!

  1. Oh! I know the answer to that final question - but I'll keep it under my hat. However, he was a worthy successor to Simonson, and another of my favorite artists.
