The Boys from Derby: "Know Thyself" by Cuti and Staton

Here's a sci-fi shocker from Ol' Groove's fave Boys from Derby, Nick Cuti and Joe Staton. "Know Thyself" made the scene in Charlton's Midnight Tales #14 (June 1975). Check it out, Groove-ophiles!

  1. I really loved Staton's art on everything. From GL, JSA/ All-Stars, E-Man, but my favorite work of his. Was his inks on Herb Trimpe & Sal Buscema's Hulk. Staton is hugely underated like Sal Buscema.

  2. These guys must stay up late reading too many EC Comics. ...We knew there was something we liked about them!

As for the rest of ya, the purpose of this blog is to (re)introduce you to the great comics of the 1970s. If you like what you see, do what I do--go to a comics shop, bookstore, e-Bay or whatever and BUY YOUR OWN!
