The Boys from Derby: "The Monster of Zanadar!" by Clark and Newton

What it is, Groove-ophiles! Here's a stunningly, heart-breakingly beautiful work of art by the late, great Don Newton, "The Monster of Zanadar!" from The Phantom #71 (April 1976). Oh, yeah, the story by John Clark ain't half bad, either!

  1. Always thought it was interesting how Don Newton's career seemed to mimic Jim Aparo's...both worked on the Phantom for Charlton, both moved to DC where they illustrated Aquaman & the Batman. Miss them both !
