Black and White Wednesday: "The Box!" by Wein, Netzer, and Alcala

Hey, hey, hey, Groove-ophiles! Has Ol' Groove got a sci-fi shocker for you! Digging through Warren's 1984 mag (trying to find something "PG" to use--no easy task!), what should appear but this highly pedigreed classic by Len Wein, Michael Netzer (formerly Mike Nasser), and Alfredo Alcala! Not a creative team you'd be normally wont so see, but here they are from 1984 #5 (cover-dated February 1979)..."The Box!"

  1. Nasser was a great talent; I remember he did half a Marvel Team-up with Spiderman and Nightcrawler and the layouts were aces. Too bad he retired.

  2. Could you put some of Alcala's VOLTAR up? I believe it was collected in ROOK magazine in the early '80s (though originally drawn in 1963). I have a late '70s reprint, but it's not the whole story. Absolutely amazing!
