Tony DeZuniga Week! Grooviest Covers of All Time: Go West, Tony!

Greetings, Groove-ophiles! Tony DeZuniga Week continues with Tony's best-loved co-creation Jonah Hex, plus a couple of saddle-sore surprises! While the amazing Mr. DeZuniga helped create Jonah, DC didn't turn him loose on too many covers during the Groovy Age. When Tony did get to strut his stuff on a JH cover (in All-Star Western and Weird Western Tales) , though, it was pretty darn cool!

Meanwhile, Marvel gave Tony a shot a the covers of a couple issues of their reprint title, Rawhide Kid.

Makes yuh wanna slap leather, don't it, pilgrim?

  1. Happy Birthday Tony! Thanks for all your decades of creations & beautiful artwork. Tony like Jim Aparo & Sal Buscema are over looked and underated. For their mass contributions to the industry.

As for the rest of ya, the purpose of this blog is to (re)introduce you to the great comics of the 1970s. If you like what you see, do what I do--go to a comics shop, bookstore, e-Bay or whatever and BUY YOUR OWN!
