Making a Splash: Happy Herb's Hulk, Part Two

Hey, hey, hey, Groove-ophiles! Time for another heaping helping of Happy Herb Trimpe Incredible Hulk splash pages!! Feast your eyes on some of the greatest gamma-irradiated images that ever 'peared in the pulse-pounding pages of Marvel's mightiest man-monster's mag (issues 129-142 and 145, t'be exact)!

  1. As a kid, I preferred the Severin-inked issues. But the more I've seen of the less-adulterated Trimpe, inked by Adkins or Trimpe himself, the more it appeals to me. It had a great primal, even childlike quality, perfect for the Hulk and perfect for color comics.

  2. Herb Trimpe was never in my list of favorite Hulk artists but those pages look incredible.

Damn you, I always held of on getting the HULK - HEART OF THE ATOM hardback because of the Herb Trimpe issues and now it looks like I have to buy it after all.
