Decent Comics: "Village of the Doomed" by Michelinie and Redondo

Dig it, Groove-ophiles! It's time for another forgotten David Michelinie/Nestor Redondo Swamp Thing classic! "Village of the Doomed" from Swamp Thing #18 (June 1975). For some reason, I can relate to this story more in 2017 than I could in 1975. Wonder why...?

  2. Thanks for posting these Redondo Swamp Thing stories. Thesevare great. I have never seen these before. Always paid attention to the Wrightson and the Bissette/Totleben issues. That's what I love about you site. Well off to ebay !

  3. Redondo's art is strong, as usual, but the scripting is sub par. David Michelinie attempts to introduce some larger themes, as Len Wein did in the past, but doesn't seem able to develop them in 18 pages (Wein had 20 - 24 pages per issue in his run).
