From 1970 to 1974, Li'l Groove and thousands just like him tuned in and turned on to the Partridge Family. I mean, what kid couldn't dig a show about a "normal" family who also happened to be a rock n roll band? For most of its run, it came on Friday nights, right after the Brady Bunch. It was never a huge hit, but they--thanks to the teen idol status of co-star David Cassidy--sold lots of records, teen magazines, and Charlton comicbooks.
My favorite Partridge was Danny. He was funny, man! He was really the hippest of the bunch, always onto some scheme. Like in this strip from the Partridge Family #12 (July, 1972) by Don Sherwood. Come on, get happy!
